What does TOBS Avocado smell like?

I'm asking because I just got a tub in the mail. Cracked it open and a strong flowery-perfumy-old lady smell hit me. Hmm, smells more floral than anything, thinks I.

Shave with it this evening, lathers like a madman, very slick, great stuff. But that smell...

My wife took one whiff of me after shaving and she thought I had gotten into her body powder.

I thought Avocado was supposed to have a subtle smell, but this is most definitely not, according to my schnozz. Did I get a mislabeled tub of Rose or does the Avocado have a perfumy flowery feminine scent?

Sounds odd to me - it should smell grassy, soapy, and fresh. It is one of my all time favourites!

I opened up my first container of TOBS Avocado this morning, and I was instantly hooked on the smell. Smell reminded me at first of the cucumber-melon lotion that my mom used when I was growing up. But once I lathered up with it I was catching smells of something similar to fresh cut grass. It's great stuff!

Oh, don't know if I should mention, that I have the cream and not the soap. Not sure if there is a difference in the smell.

TOBS Avocado has a great, clean, green scent. Very effective, too.

LOVE Avocado. Cucumber, clean, powdery smell hits me. As a long time TOBS lather head, Avocado comes second to MR. Taylor. I have noticed that the smell changes during the lather like the Almond. Keep giving it a try it is truly one the best.

TOBS Avocado smells like cucumbers and flowers to me. Not my cup of tea. My girlfriends uses it to shave her legs.

Out of the TOBS sampler I got, the avocado was my favorite. The performance, lathering and scent are perfect for me. Received my full-size tub last week. Also liked their rose, lavender and lemon lime.

Well after further review my tub does smell a bit grassy/cucumbery. And the scent has died down too - it was most definitely in my face when I first opened the tub, now its not so strong. And I swear it smelled powdery-floral at first. Strange. Maybe my tub had been sitting in a warehouse gathering steam for a while.

And everyone is right on the shaving properties of this - amazing, best cream I have tried so far (Proraso and German Nivea running a close second in terms of performance).

It's funny how widely people's impressions of TOBS Avocado's smell varies. To me it smells like the inside of an old pumpkin, I'm not a fan.

+1 A nice, subtle scent. Perhaps a mellow, green earthy scent? Vetiver? Whatever it is, the performance is outstanding.

It smells to vegetable/avocado for me. It literally reminds me of avocados - like something I should be eating, rather than shaving with. I'm sure some disagree with me, but I couldn't bring myself to shave with it. I received a sample TOBS creams and it was the only one I didn't like. I threw it in the trash.
