..Well let me tell you.
I was fortunate enough to receive a few samples with a recent AS purchase from fellow B&B member Penmanship. We both agreed that the AS smelled terrible, but I very happy with the samples he sent along.
This afternoon, after the gym, I found myself home alone and in need of a shave. (I love when that happens.) I found the stash of samples and blindly picked one. The cream I ended up using was Geo F. Trumpers Spanish leather. I scooped the smallest amount onto my pinky and rubbed it on my brush. I was absolutely shocked at how much lather came from such a small amount of cream.
This stuff smells awesome. I imagine it to be the scent of powder, Bruce Wayne (Batman) and millions of dollars mixed together into one. I paired it up with an Astra SP, which I had not used one of these in over a year (Thanks again Tim.) and of course my 39c slant. I used some of Joe's Lime pre shave bar and let it stand on my face during my shower. When it came time to shave, I seriously could not feel the blade on my face. The combo of everything just clicked. What a fantastic shave I had today. I finished off with a mix of 444 and Vitos Aftershaving AS. This was the closest items I had to pair up with the scent of the Spanish leather. I strongly recommend getting a tub of this stuff or at least a sample if you can. You will not be disappointed.
At the end of my shave I was giddy with satisfaction. I found the following diddy most suitable, as it was what I was singing after my shave.
