This has been puzzling me for a while, and apparently my Google skills aren't up to extracting an answer from the ether. All of my razor blades have little numbers stamped on them: 1 and 2 on one side, and 3 and 4 on the other. What are these numbers meant to convey?
My first thought was that they want me to shave with the 1-2 side first, then flip the blade and shave with the 3-4 side. But that doesn't make sense, since the edge is shared, and would be blunted no matter which way it's turned. Then I noticed that there's a number 4 on the inside of my razor. Are the two related somehow?
This may be a newbie question with an obvious answer, but then, I'm still a newbie, and it's puzzling the heck out of me.
