One day growth.

My first shave with the Bayonetta, recently acquired. I am happy to report that there are no alignment issues with my razor:

https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/goodfellas-smile-bayonetta.647048/

The bead blasted finish on the brass does drag a bit, but so does my TRC Aluminum razor (used yesterday). I have residual irritation on the right side of my neck left over from Monday's shave, so I have been taking it easy there. That's to say I did one pass under the neck on that side. Nevertheless, the shave was very good. I'll be interested to see how it does the remainder of this week and when I have heavier beard growth.

Three passes.

No nicks.
No cuts.
No additional irritation.

DFS.

Cheers!

Brush: Jequil & Corenveo 24mm
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 - Knurled Handle
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (3)
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman
Rating: 10/10

So my wife wanted to buy me another razor as an early birthday present and I batted around a few ideas but settled on another Edwin Jagger because it's such an honest razor at a very good price. This morning's shave, the first with the new knurled handle EJ, was typically smooth and efficient. As many wonderful razors as I own, the EJ DE89 is one of my favorites and probably the best value out there. It literally never delivers a bad shave. Who can ask for more than that?
Thanks to Mrs. Lockback for giving me another reason to smile in the mornings ...

ROUND ABOUT SHAVE

Two Days Whiskers

MUSIC: Fragile by YES. 1971.
A classic from the Prog Rock. Full of iconic songs.

PRE-SHAVE:

- Hot Shower

- Musgo Real Classic Scent Pre-Shave Oil (PT)

BOWL: Coconut (SP)

SOAP: Martin de Candre Agrumes (FR)

BRUSH: Zenith 508bc mb Manchurian 55×27 mm (IT)

SR: Carbon Shaving Co
CX-316 L/WEB SB 1.08 (US) -

Whenever I think of a gorgeous SR beautifully made and with amazing looks this one comes to my mind. Plus it's very smooth and efficient.
I can make my tricky XTG Blade-Buffing over my neck without feeling uncomfortable nor bleed.

BLADE: KCG (3) -

Great coupling with this SR.

POST-SHAVE:

- 444 Alum-Block (PT)

- Gillette Coolwave After-Shave Splash (IT)

- Avène Baume Après-Rasage (FR)

THE SHAVE:

I needed an efficient and smooth razor for my face not to reactivate any bleeding from my previous shave. And that was it. A superb shave. 10/10.

1st Pass: All WTG.

2nd Pass: All ATG except on Mustache and Chin Areas where I went XTG from West to East.

Some XTG blade-buffing on Neck.

Brush: Varlet “Gaslamp Somerset” 29mm XD Classic
Blade: Perma Sharp (1)
Soap: Ethos “Tonka Bean” 🫘 F Base
Razor: WR2 Ti SB 1.25 w/ Timeless Ti Crown 👑 Handle

This was the absolute best shave of my last 6 shaves, there was and is a reason I had narrowed my razors down to one, for me it is the best razor made. It is nice to have variety sometimes, but when I come back to my Wolfman I am home. 🏠

For the next couple of shaves I am going to use the same soap with my other razors.

People were saying that Wolfman‘s are so expensive in US dollars my complete razor currently costs
$445.00.

The Tbird I just bought was $440.00
The Tiback when it goes to regular price will be $380.00

Aylsworth Drakkant Ti with a Gilette Silver Blue (2)
Rajon Cajon cherry red acrylic shaving brush (Etsy)
Colette Classic Supply Co. Citrus and Basil Barbershop soap
Thayers Original Witch Hazel

Uneventful shave, which is good for me. No surprises with the common trouble spots. Excess buffing with no irritation. The solution would be an open comb, but no titanium version yet. Still, very smooth with today's score...9.8/10

Not made for these times.
Pre-shave • King C. Gillette Face Wash

Soap • Arko

Bowl • CaYuen (Large)

Brush • Omega Evo Sapphire Blue

Razor • Mühle R41

Blade • Treet Dura Sharp (1)

*Warm Shower*

Aftershave • Thayers Unscented + Bootlegger's Arctic Lime Blast

Eye Gel • Neutrogena Hydro Boost

I went with the R41 this afternoon. It paired very well with a fresh Dura Sharp. Almost four days of growth knocked down. I had two tiny weepers on my chin but they disappeared in the shower. The Arctic Lime Blast is an excellent warm weather splash.

9.5/10

Have a blessed afternoon, friends.
