Notes: I picked up a Rolls razor set today and tried sharpening up the blade and tried a shave and it was unsuccessful. While I was out at Walgreens, Gillette foamy was on sale for a dollar so I picked up a travel one to give it a go. I haven't used Gillette foamy in a long time. The scent has changed. The actual finished shave was BBs, but it wasn't pleasant getting there. The Gillette foamy offered zero slickness, I had to thin down my second and third pass with a little water. Had some post shave irritation. It was a fun experiment but time to go back to the soap and brush. My next shave will be on Sunday for lather catcher Sunday, hope you all have a great rest of your week and happy shaves!

Great shave, 10/10. I'm loving the GC .76-p. I took a gamble on the 100mm RR titanium handle and am surprised by how much I like it with this head. I've never used a handle longer than 90mm before, and I usually gravitate toward 85mm. Excellent balance and nimble in a way I did not expect. The larger indent toward the bottom provides a perfect rest for my ring finger. Good stuff! I also picked up the 1.05 plate for ****s and giggles, but haven't tried it yet.

Do you load the soap directly in the wooden bowl? Or do you remove the sap from the bowl first? I have the same bowl and I'm noticing the finish of the wood is starting to fade.
