3 pass, light touch up. Glass, BBS, irritation free, just wonderful. 10/10 - by the way, love the razor enough I traded my Tatara for a second one to send to my brother…. If you haven’t tried a Yates 921, you are missing something. Keeper for life (like my Carbon Ti Web and Ti Blackbird).

I must have added some pressure today or something, because this wasn't as comfortable a shave as I can usually get. The sting from the aftershave was maximal. No injuries or irritation, but I had a little post-shave sensitivity of the skin. I can give this a 8.9/10 I suppose. I'll take it a little easier tomorrow; it's Saturday after all.

Results: The Grande & Kai are stellar performers. Speick shaving stick tallow version, is easy to face lather & very good post shave feel, moisturizing. Hot summer morning. Completed my first Ice Cold Shave. I filled a basin with ice cubes & used this ice water to prep my beard before the shave, between passes & after the shave. Brrrrrrr!!!! Dolphin Smooth BBS result! Invigorating Shave!!!

Probably my best straight shave to date, at least in terms of whisker removal. Close comfortable shave, marred only by a deep nick on my cheek as I attempted a new angle to come at my upper lip. Swings and roundabouts...

A nice enough shave with this razor. 3 smooth passes for a sas finish. Still trying but not pushing for a clean sweep on the problematic neck area. Avoiding issues are primary for now...The matching aftershave was just terrific...so fragrant!!!

Saturday morning, and apologies for being a bit cagey below - if you’ve been following this year’s modification competition on the straight razor threads that should explain what’s occurring : I wanted to check that it shaved while there’s still a few days remaining. This one should be out again on Friday morning - I’ll post here too. We could call it a Gold Dollar 66 if that helps, but it’s not really one of those any more.

Three favourites with the brush/soap/aftershave. The razor's going to take some familiarisation with the handling, but it's not doing anything dramatic. I might wave the edge at the top two lapping films or the seatbelt webbing / Silverline White strop in the next few days, but rubbing my face as I write this it's not bad. It's not as smooth as I can go, but I would count it as easily "socially acceptable" and it might just be me getting used to the feel of the thing.

I'll do the formal introductions on Friday. For today I'm calling it an "8".

J'ai donc changé de lames pour prendre aujourd'hui un sabre Wilkinson de fabrication allemande.
quelle horreur ça tire, ça rappe, ça accroche, c'est affreux.
Je donne à ce rasage une note de 3/10
J'utilise un Rockwell 6s, un stick la toja et un yaqi badger.
J'utilise habituellement les lames inoxydables astra superior et mes rasages sont conformes à une note généralement de 8 ou 9/10.
J'arrête les expériences Je reste sur ma vieille routine habituelle

Et, quelle plaque de base avez-vous utilisé avec le 6S? Which baseplate did you use with the 6S?

Usually the 6S gives smooth shaves from what I have read.

generally I use the R3 plate
3 times a week. (in summer )
in winter it's more like 2 times a week

New improved razors are things of beauty. The SV 70th feels and smells fresh, summery and provides the necessary hydratation. The Lord Blade works so very well for me in these antiques. I have never been closer to perfection in the shaving department.
