Very close and comfortable BBS in 3 passes ! :001_wub:

Used this shavette after a span of 3-4 weeks and I am glad that I can still get a comfortable BBS with this after using Feather AC SS for last 3-4 weeks !

Good morning, dear shaving friends!

This is the report about the thursday shave from the MdC tranining camp. Today I decided to give the SOC boar a try. As you might have realized I am not the brush expert, I only own three brushes. Thus, I cannot determine whether the SOC is (fully) broken in. What I realize that it is different now to use after around 15 to 20 uses. And it performs great.

So I lathered the MdC Agrumes and created loads of righ lather. It lasted easily for 4.5 passes - and there was some more for at least one to two further passes. Regarding the 4.5 passes: My neck took the 4 passes very well yesterday. So I did four today (WTG, XTG, XTG, ATG) with a mild plate on the 6S and decided to do another pass on the neck region simply south to north (which is a wild mixture of WTG, XTG and ATG). This ended up in a shave very close to BBS. I score a 10/10. Smooth, comfortable, no nicks, no irritaton (yet).

Enjoy your thursday!

Razor: Rockwell 6S, R3
Blade: KAI (4)
Soap: MdC Agrumes
Brush: SOC boar

First use of my Cayuen brush (with mwf and a standard razor), it is a BIG knot, it feels almost as dense on my face as my Chubby 2. It does seem to hog a lot of lather and I had to sprinkle/add water as I went to dial it in. Also took a while afterwards to clean, seemed to always have that whitish soap residue in the tips. Had a wonderful 2 pass shave.

Razor Gillette Ranger Tech 1941, TTO
Blade: Dorco ST 300 (1)
Brush: Larry's Synthetic,28 mm
Bowl :Captain's Choice Copper

Cream: TOBS Lemon & Lime

Post: Lather remnants during clean-up,
Cold water rinse,
Humphrey's Citrus Witch Hazel,
Myrsol Agua De Limon

TOBS performed great as always but I could barely detect a scent. Too weak for me.
A very smooth and comfortable shave. Very close. No nicks or weepers or razor burn.
9.5

Have a great day everyone [emoji106]

I have the SOC Boar. It's broken in with a good head of split ends. It's much softer than when it was new. I like it a lot.
I think it probably has around 15 uses and I think it can be considered broken fully in but I expect it to become softer and get better still.

Great shave
PAA Ice Cube
Stirling alighieri soap and AS
Stirling Stainless steel razor HA base plate
Nacet blade (1st)
PAA switchback with 26mm shoat boar
Capt choice copper bowl

Very smooth and irritation free. Would be 10/10 except lopped off two bumps which led to two baby creepers that went away quickly.
Very little alum feedback

Repent!
Razor: Blackland Razors Sabre L2
Blade: GEM PTFE
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 3 LE Sovereign Fibre
Soap: Mike’s Hungarian Lavender
Lather: Face
Post: Thayers WH Aloe
Aftershave: Stirling Bergamot and Lavender

The Shave: I hid in the woods until the BBS posse departed. As, I sat there feeling the stubble grow throughout the night, I committed to a fine shave routine to repent from my departure.
W/X/A for a DFS+++ shave, an incredibly close shave. The Sabre is so smooth I can get great results without any harsh feedback from my AS. The GEM PTFE blade is starting to show signs of degradation, will see how it goes but I’ll watch it closely. Mike’s Soap always performs great and my Chubby 3 Sovereign has opened up and is coming into its own. Great way to start the day.
