What's new

What B&B has meant to me...

A year and a half ago, at the age of 40, my typical morning routine consisted of shaving in the shower with a Fusion and some type of mass-produced shave gel that had the word “moisturizing” on the can. I didn’t use aftershave or cologne. My evenings were spent trying not to scratch my horribly dry, irritated skin rife with razor bumps and ingrown hairs. I usually ended my evening with a couple of mediocre beers. I was lucky enough to stumble upon B&B while looking for alternatives to the terrible shaves I was getting.

Fast forward to this morning, I got out of the shower and face lathered Mitchell’s Wool Fat with my Shavemac silvertip, and did a wonderful three pass shave with my Gem 1912 with a Pella blade. After a splash of witch hazel I finished the shave with Gentleman’s Refinery unscented shave balm. A quick spray of Terre D’Hermes, and I was ready to face the day.

Tonight, I sit here with skin that looks ten years younger than it did even a year ago, and I will cap my evening with a glass of single malt Islay. So, gentlemen (and ladies), I raise a glass of Ardbeg 10-year to all of you and say thank you for making me a better person and for helping me to enjoy life so much more than I used to.

With gratitude,
Scott

After 28 years of carts and goo myself, I can only echo what has been said. The past year has been a real joy experimenting with different soaps, creams blades etc. Lost count of the cost but who cares. I just love it and so glad I found Badger and Blade.

Congrat's to you Scott. I missed the toast last night so I'll toast you this morning from Eugene, Oregon with a mug of Yuban Dark Roast.

I'm toasting to you right now with my cup of hand roasted Brazil Cerrado DP Fazenda Aurea! umm, chocolate'ty.

Also last night I unknowingly tipped a couple of pints while having pizza at American Dream, also just up the road from you!

Great post Scott! it definitely makes up for all the 'I Quit' posts that tend to pop up.

It helps to be reminded of the benefits of this site-some of us seem to forget from time to time.

Wasn't going to enjoy any fine spirits tonight, but now I feel I must! It is somewhat pedestrian, but a first for me: a couple of fingers of Jack Daniels sipped neat. Cheers from SW FL!
