What are you drinking tonight?

The doghouse has AC
glad you got that honey-do list fully completed. our furry four legged friends should never suffer from heat stroke. And who knows when a guest might show up !!
It's basically a gin sour already, just not well balanced. Try this instead:

1 baby cucumber, sliced and muddled (or just half of one, then snack on the other half)
60 ml gin
30 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
15 ml agave syrup
shake with ice and strain into well-chilled glass

This should work well with most any gin. However, I'd caution you away from citrus-bomb gins, as most of their flavor profile will disappear into the lemon juice. Preferable would be something spicy or floral, or a classic London dry.
I'll look into that this week end, sounds like something I did earlier in the year somehow

A common addition to most any sour is an egg white, if you're so inclined.

Add everything to the shaker except for ice. Drop in an egg white. Shake vigorously for a good 30 seconds. Then put ice in and shake some more. Strain into a chilled glass and enjoy.

Sorry, no photo.

Bombay Dry (green label) 6-1 martini (Dolin dry vermouth, one shake of Peychaud's bitters), Tipsy onions. Stirred, not shaken. ;)

Last night a somewhat disappointing bottle of Japanese gin - Suntory 'Sui'. It's quite citrusy, but only gets 8.4 on the gin app which the stupid spell checker will not allow (!) and I'd say generous. I would not recommend it but it had 10% off so it was cheaper than Roku: that would have been a better bet.
