Found a new gin bar here - BeGin - with a decent array of gins, 50 they reckon. Tried a few, some just with tonic or soda water, one or two Negronis (one white with chamomile flowers!) and the last was a black gin from NZ, quite funky, Scapegrace Black. It has butterfly pea flower and saffron among the botanicals. I shall have to try it again.
D'Usse cognac.

It was excellent! Was from my Dad’s collection, he passed a few years ago. Seemed like an appropriate day to try it
I finished off the Jameson's Black Barrel last night. It's tasty, but only 80 proof, which seem typical of Irish whiskey.
That’s great to hear, I think ‘82 is considered one of the all-time classic vintages for the west bank so I’m sure your dad would be happy you’re enjoying it in his honor. Gentleman Jack, neat. I don’t think I will buy this again, but at least it's not going to waste.
Tonight’s mix: 3 oz tequila, 1.5 oz each of Cointreau and lime
