Terrific picture, Turtle! Enjoy the Mühle V2 STF. There's nothing out there quite as fine IMO.

Nylon (Dupont?) definitely would not have been my first guess. The Japanese developed some specialized synthetic bristles a few years back. These were type 1 plastic, I believe, i.e., polyester. Apparently I was mistaken or misread something awhile back, but heck, if my memory were perfect, I'd be Rain Man.
