What a wonderful razor!

Today I got both Mühle R89 and Merkur 15C razors I had been ordering. Even though I had been shaving with R41 in the morning, I had to try them when I got home.
Which one to try? Both of course ! I loaded Astra SP in both and shaved one side of my face with 15C and the other with R89.

C15 is really the most wonderful razor I have had in my hand. It gave me with less effort a really smooth and good shave. It was much more nice than R89. I still had irritation from the shave in the morning (R41 is brutal), and R89 added a little to the irriation, while I notice nothing there were I shaved with 15C.

There is no question that R89 is better made and of higher quality, but I would even rather pay for two 15C than not to have a 15C.

I loved my 15c when I first got it and used it for about 2 weeks before I returned to my EJ. The EJ is far better in my opinion but I do still use and enjoy my 15c.

Don't give up on the R89 yjust yet!

I am not giving up on R89. Definitely not. I will have to try both razors with different blades and different lenghts of whiskers. I am sure both will have their use.

I use the 15c when I am shaving several days in a row. I don't use it at all after a few days growth.
