What's new

What a huge difference

I bought a NOS Tony Miller strop off the BST recently.

Having never used/seen another strop in person I was completely blown away by how big this strop was.

I'm sure many of you are used to big strops, I just thought I'd put my thoughts down here. Anyways, I've put them side by side to show the difference in size to anyone who's never had the pleasure of enjoying a TM (or any other large strop for that matter).

PS: Tony, your strops live up to every single bit of hype given on these forums.

Ah, you got D-rings. Good call...

I used to favor handles, but D-rings are growing on me fast!

Tony's strops are fantastic, however, the latigo draws a bit hard for me (I gave it a 1500 grit sanding and now it's peeeeeerfect :D )

I've got one, but being just two months into straight shaving I don't dare use it yet. I expect that one to last till my last breath, and when I go I don't want a bunch of nicks in it!

If you nick it, send it to me, I'll give it a quiet resting place.

Which is to say, fix it up and say, "What? I've always had that strop, Dear." and see if my girl doesn't kill me :p
