Washing DC lather issue

Hi Folks,

Just temporarily moved to Washington DC for work. Had my first shave today since arriving, and had some seriously weird lather. It looked totally normal, but I couldn't get any slickness out of it! No glide at all!

I used my same AOS cream as I always have, same prep, same everything. Is it the water here known to be problematic? Has anyone else had this problem in DC?

Thanks,

Zap

I live in DC and haven't had any problems. Last time I saw the water quality published, earlier this year, the DC area water, was about medium quality, not very hard at all. I used to live in Maryland, and it was about the same there.

Maybe tomorrow will bring a better shave.
I suppose you could look at some way to condition the water if you think it's that.

Ok I see what you are doing wrong here this happens to many people new to the Washington D.C, area.
First you did not make a appointment with the EPA to get your shaving soap approved by them, shaving soap only works in the Washington area if you have the EPA paperwork. Then after you have that you need to get a senator or congressman to approve your shaving blades. Thees must however first be deemed as non weapons by the ATF, not the FBI they are no longer responsible for classifying your razorblades.
If you are using foreign made razor blades then you have to make sure that you bring the customs paper work along showing that you have the right to import double edged razorblades.

now after you have all your paperwork together and the signatures you have to file that in your toilet tank in a water proof bag. It must always be there in case a inspector comes to inspect your water.

then if you are expecting any result at all you are working in the wrong city.

Maybe you should spend some time making lather separate from when you are trying to shave, just to play around with the ration of water to product until you figure out how to get a good lather. It might also be a good idea to grab a bottle of distilled water at the store to see if that helps.
