Walter Busch Sohn Slant

This is another German slant -- a more radical design than those others, and a little unwieldly to use. Apollo had also made a version of this in a dark brown Bakelite (that I once owned but must have sold), but I actually prefer this white Bakelite one. It is hard to get into tight areas like under the nose or behind the jaw -- under the ear, but it is a very effective razor nonetheless. And what an unusual slant design.

The case had a crack that has been repaired and now works just fine.

Looks like a big blade gap, but it is actually not as aggressive as it looks.

This 3-piece set may have never been used. At least not until I received it.

Walter Busch is still in business today and sells clothes:

They also sold the adjustable slant razor decades ago. That razor was definitaly made by the Emil Hermes company, the company that made the Merkur, Hoffritz, Pomco, Coles and Lunawerk razors too:

From what I understand they did not make razors, they sold rebranded razors.

A tiny bit of a tangent, but just in case it slipped past anyone: "Merkur" is German for "Mercury," who was the Roman equivalent of Hermes from the Greek pantheon, hence the connection to Emil Hermes.

I have one of these with a hairline crack on the head, but no case. It provides a shave exactly as you describe. In light of your recent slant posts, I have to say that you have wonderful taste in razors!
