Walgreens seems to have really good pricing on GIT. Is there any reason to worry about such a purchase?

Old stock, usually. "Gray market" stuff can be a little damaged but a lot of folks here have bought it and found it just fine.

Several people have posted about Walgreen Creeds here and Basenotes and none have reported a problem. The number of different scents is usually pretty limited.

There have been a lot of debates about how/why Walgreens has it that never came to any conclusion. It's online only; it's never in their stores.

NOT old stock!

I purchased 4oz bottles of Green Irish Tweed and Original Vetiver on sale last January and paid less than $200 together. Looked up the serial numbers and they were both fresh juice bottled in 2011.

Perhaps Overstock is a better word, but regardless, I have no problem with "old" stock either. I have a bottle of Lubin Nuits de Longchamps from 1914 that smells fine - heavenly, in fact - nothing wrong with "old." But you're probably right, it's not old stock, might not even be overstock, who knows. The bottom line is that there haven't been any complaints about the way they smell. But it's still gray market.

100 year old juice? its syill ok?

I hear that Walgreens has BOGO periodically on their Creeds which is probably the sale that erickson is referring to. Their orders are fulfilled by Fragrancenet (or so I have heard) which does deal in grey market Creeds, but the juice is still very authentic.

It was in a sack in a box in a closet for years. It was someone's grandmother's perfume that was a gift from her husband returning from Paris sometime around WWI. No joke. The bottle and box were placed in a closet and never opened and the bottle is a beautiful handmade crystal decanter, the prize of my collection. But despite all that, yes, the perfume is fantastic. I sold most of it off a long time ago but kept a nice volume for my wife who adores it.

thats sounds great

I bought a two bottles of GIT from them last year, during a BOGO promotion, filled by Fragrancenet, both the same terrific 2011 batch, ended up at around $100 per bottle, certainly worth doing when they have those sales.
