You're right! The color of the base is startling close to the amber glass door handles in our house that I remember as a kid! Wow, brings back the memories!!

Thanks for the positives.

It's a much smaller brush than these pix would have you believe.
I'm going with the 18mm Grade A silvertip.
There's plenty of room to set the loft down to a good backbone level.

An excellent choice. I just did a restore on a Fuller with that exact knot. Rudy recommended about a 16 mm set and that worked perfectly for me. Plenty of backbone and wonderfully dense but still wonderfully soft with a nice bloom. Good luck!

Probably a 46mm set eh? 16mm would be a tad scrubby

I set an 18mm Grade A at 42mm....I should have set it a bit higher.

Super choice for that handle.

Nope, set 16mm deep with a 42mm loft. I am happy with the 42mm loft, does both soaps and creams like a champ.
