wahl 5 star senior "ticking" sound

wattup guys,
I just got a new wahl 5star senior clipper. When I turn on the clipper, it makes a loud "click". Is it normal?

I’ve used many different Clippers/Trimmers over the years and have heard this sound many times as the power engages. I’ve never had any of them blow up or start on fire etc., so I’ve never worried about it. Perhaps another member will be able to give you more specifics.

Hi Alex, Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what model of a Wahl trimmer I have, but I definitely know the sound you are talking about. I don't know what causes it, but I have never had any issues with it.

It's the sound of a set of Wahls starting up ........ Aye ...... They do start with a little thump

I'm familiar with that noise. I've been using the same Wahl clippers for pre-head-shave buzzes for the past 18 years. Good product, IMHO.

Clippers do that...If you don't hear it ,you're in trouble ...
