Vultures Roosting

There is a city park in Fort Smith, that is along the Arkansas River, where Vultures roost for the night. Last Saturday I captured a few shots.

Real vultures. My first thought was "I wonder what's on the BST that would cause vultures to roost." Great pics.

Do NOT, I repeat Do NOT walk under that tree and scare them off. You will be the unwilling recipient of a buzzard-barf, wet turd shower.
Ask me how I know.
Brent.

What gets me is how majestic and graceful they look when way up in the sky and how disgusting they look close up.

Some great shots. I was driving my kids to a soccer practice early one Saturday morning several years ago and I saw a couple of trees covered in vultures like that. I lost count in the mid-fifties. Times are always good when you're a buzzard.
