Vintage Illinois 127 Linen Equivalents?

Folks,

I have an older (about 30 years) Illinois 127 with the greenish linen. I'd like to source another or an equivalent linen and was hoping to get some advice and recommendations. I think Tony Miller used to work with them so maybe he has some valuable input.

The linen is greenish (see jpeg), has a very flat nap, and an almost waxy finish to it from when it was new. The later white linen is similar, but rougher and no smooth finish. The old green linen was almost as smooth as denim.

Does anyone know of a similar linen?

You might check other Illinois strops, I have a different model that has the same type linen you're describing. I just put a 127 up for sale that has the newer style. Good luck with your search, you're right, it is good stuff.
