Vintage Butterfly Safety Razor Question

Is the Vintage Butterfly Safety Razor pretty much a Merkur 34C but with the butterfly opening?

I would say not, as it's not made by, or associated with Merkur. As far as I know the Classic Shaving butterfly/ Twist To Open razors are made by Parker. Some of the original Parker twist to open razors were very aggressive, so in that regards they would be nothing like a Merkur 34C. The more recent Parker models are fairly mild, making them close to that of a Vintage Gillette Superspeed.

Notice that classic shaving indicates this is an out of stock item. Perhaps indication that it is an older model that is no longer produced.

It's constantly out of stock; I bought that razor twice. Once for someone I know that talked about that very razor and how his father had one and it reminds him of his father, and then I thought it was so cool that I bought myself one. :-D
