vdh boar brush

I posted here a year ago about my first brush, a vdh boar. Cheapest thing ever. well after using it in the shower everyday with face wash it has become my favorite. I hated this brush all last year as a latherer. She now out performs my tweezerman badger and b&b boar. I guess it's all about patience. Has this happened to anybody else? Like it, love it, hate it?

I purchased mine around Christmas and it is holding up well. However, I never use it because it is the preferred brush of the SWMBO. She likes the handle, the backbone, and the level of the "scritchiness" compared to my other boars and badgers. It had normal shedding for the first month or so, but now it does not shed bristles at all.

Still using mine, on and off, with no problems. I have had it for 2 years, and it broke in nicely.

This thread is a great testimony to the idea that given some time and care just about any brush can do the job admirably. I still use the Men-U brush that came in a VDH set years ago. Boars really benefit from use. I will keep using any brush until the hairs fall out.
