Upgraded my tobacco today!

I have held off buying some of higher grade tobacco until I worked out the loading, lighting, and keeping lit kinks. I have been getting consistently good smokes out of the local store's custom blend, but it wasnt the same as smoking cigars. It was certainly cheaper, but not nearly as satisfying in the flavor dept. The aromatics smell great in the pouch, but it didnt translate in the actual smoke.

I read through the forums here and out on the net and built a short list of things to try. I placed the order and three days later - viola! I now have the makings of a cellar.




Dunhill Nightcap - 50g
Frog Morton - 100g
Dominican Glory - 50g
Brindle Flake - 50g
Peterson's Irish Flake - 50g

I am off to the patio to try out the Dominican Glory, as it is supposed to be a cigar blend for pipes

What R U keeping them in after opening? I found Target has nice Ball canning jars for around a buck each in 4-packs. The 8oz works well for whole flake and the 16oz is good for ribbon. Just an idea.

So far I have just opened the Dominican Gold and used the plastic lid to reseal it. I am sure to be near a Tahr-Jay this weekend and I will look into these as long term storage devices

Looks good, I like the Frog Morton and Nightcap a lot, never tried the others, not really my style I'm more of a Latakia guy, hope they are all good, enjoy.
