What's new

Trying to select a new OC razor (Pearl vs. Razorock vs. Fatip)

I'm in the market for a new OC that will be more aggressive than my current razors (MTO, DE89, Parker 26C, Ikon Shavecraft 102). I would like an OC razor, and don't want to go with anything as aggressive as an R41. I've been considering the Pearl OC, the Razorock Jaws, and the Fatip Piccolo. Based on the chart in the Shave Wiki, any of these will be more aggressive than my current razors. However, from what I've read here on B&B, though the old Jaws was a rebranded Pearl, the current Jaws has the same head as the Parker 26C, so it would not make sense for me to buy the Jaws. (I really like the 26C but I don't need two of them.)

That would point to the Pearl or the Fatip. But I've checked out the Pearl OC on various sites (and I'm referring to razors sold under the Pearl brand, not Cadet or Razorock or Matador), and based on the photos, the head looks just like the Parker 26C.

Does anyone know whether the current Pearl-branded OC has the same head as the Parker 26C? (It seems that the 24C/26C head is taking over -- I know that the Maggard V2 OC head is supposedly the same as the 24C/26C. I do know the Fatip definitely does not have the same head as the Parker 26C, and I like the fact that it's all brass, but I am concerned about the quality control/blade alignment issues, and also concerned that it might be too much of a bump up in aggression for me.)

TIA.

P.S. I also have an Ikon Shavecraft non-DLC slant (the twisty kind of slant, not the tilted kind like the 102), but honestly I don't care for it, because of consistent blade alignment problems and because it bites pretty frequently.
