Trying to decide....... sooo hard.... Blenheim Bouquet

Hi Guys,

Right here's the score: I asked for a sample of Blenheim Bouquet, arrived yesterday, Superb! The scent is amazing and I really love it..... now my dilemma. I don't mind spending the money, that's absolutely no problem at all (I take pride in my appearance and liken it to a smoking habit, kinda filthy but makes me look and feel great :D ). There is an Aftershave splash that has added menthol and Witch hazel, and a Eau de Toillette, now which one do I get, does anyone have the ***, as I'm worried the menthol and witch hazel will alter the delicate flavour. Also whats the difference between Eau de toilette and Cologne, I thought I knew, but now I'm not sure.....

So guys which do you think is the best buy?

200ml EDT: 90 gbp (This is my thinking so far... then I can decant some for my father too :D ).
100ml EDT: 70 gbp
100ml ***: 55 gbp

Surely I can use the Eau de toilette over something like D.R.Harris's pink aftershave? Instead of purchasing a watered down ***???

Sorry guys just don't want to go spending 105 quid and getting it wrong (I want the soap too :D :D I'm sooo greedy, but it's smells sooo good...) :D

Thanks for your help guys...

Tom :D

Depends how much you really love the stuff, either way I'd get the EDT.

EDT is stronger than the *** and would be more what you're after for longevity? From my understanding of strengths its Aftershave -> EDT -> Perfume

+1 on the edt -- the scent lasts much longer that way. I've not found basic aftershaves to be overpowering when applied pre-Blenheim EDT.

Tom,

I'm a BB nut. I've got the Edt, soap, cream and ASB. Dont need all that but thats what I have.

That said, I highly recommend you ignore your wanting of the splash (trust me, I've been there too) and go with the Edt. The scent will last longer...the bottle will last longer...and your $ will go farther because you wont have to replenish your bottle as quickly.

Its tough to ignore those facts. I was in London's Bathecary about two weeks ago and turned away from the BB splash because of all those factors and settled for the slightly cheaper balm.

Edt brother...all the way

...the bigone!

Thanks guys, I have now bought the EDT, but I only bought the 100ml... reason, from Penhaligons, it's 70 gbp, from a seller I found 48 quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Brand New!) :001_tt1::001_tt1::001_tt1::001_tt1::001_tt1:

I think this will have a hard life next to my Bay rum fetish :D

Thanks again guys, you've been a great help!!!!!

Tom :D (New BB fan!...)

Tom,

You wont regret it...the only thing you'll regret is how fast you go through it LOL (just kidding normal use should be well over a year or more...I'm guessing 2 years with the 100ml).

I thought as I hit the button... oohh am I being sensible (the worry lasted a second then I smelt my sample again and thought yeah "sensible" :001_tt1:)

I saw you went with the Edt...good move. I would use it over an AS that has little scent--like you said, maybe Witch Hazel or Speick. For me Proraso's scent is short-lived too

Yep, just politely emailed penhaligons and they mailed it straight out and it's a sizable sample I must say probably twice/three times the size of the ordinary vials I've gotten.
