Color me jealous. Haven't tried those per se, but I hear they are better than the Wilkinson Swords currently manufactured, and I like the current ones.
thanks for the information, i look forward to trying them more than ever nowI have a 5-pack with exact same black card for the plastic container top. The individual wrapper is a bit different, however.
When I discovered and joined the trend back to DE shaving the spring of last year, I found a travel kit that I received new as a gift containing a 1967 Travel Tech razor and the Wilkinson 5-pack. There were four left in it, and I used two of them while waiting for a sampler.
I used another one earlier this summer, with a year's technique practice, and it was the best blade I've ever used. The smoothest, and it cut effortlessly in a Super Adjustable set at 3 and 4.
As best as I can remember, I purchased that 5-pack new sometime in the early '70's.
I have some and have used them, they are nice shavers. Most (if not all) of the Wilks made in the late 70's through 90's are very good to excellent, tho the quality on the UK made blades did taper off a tad toward the end. Given the aging of the wrapper, I'd guess they were produced in the 70's.today i brought about 100 of these at a carboot for £6.00 and i was wondering if any of you had tried them and if so what you thought of them?
also how old are they?
