Definitely be careful with those assumptions. There are a number of threads on the feel of boars -- especially after break-in. Don't overlook the existing discussions as resources as well. And don't judge things until you've actually tried them.I was under the assumption that they were scratchy on the face but was I wrong!

I prefer Omega over Semogue.
Which Omega did you get?
They are great brushes, have been using my 20102 daily for the last couple of years, fantastic brush!
I purchased what I think is numbered 10005, it says pura setola on the front and has a beech wood handle. It will definitely be one of my go to brushes from now on.
This one?
Omega make fantastic brushes, if you get the chance perhaps try one of the professional brushes, nice big brushes one can paint their entire face with, it is that big!
Lovely Firehouse handle. Enjoy it till it lasts !I have Omega 20480 borar brush, Whipped dog 30 mm silvertip and EJ best badger brush, and I have to say that the Omega is the most versatile and very good value for money. I was really impressed with it.
