Traveling with Talc: A Problem?

I hate traveling with Talc, a terrible listener and dumb as a rock.

I would say no problemo.

No. Only shampoo, toothpaste, and baby formula can be used in acts of terrorism. :out:
(I try not to fly anymore because of the foolishness and hassle involved).

.

I can't imagine any problems, especially if it is still in the original container. Now if you decide you want to save space by shaking some talc into a small ziploc bag, that's a whole different story :biggrin1:

The TSA (Thousands Standing Around) freaks out about everything.

As a very frequent flyer, my mantra is don't even look them in eyes.

It is not a gel, liquid, or cream so I can't see talc breaking any TSA rules. However, I would not advise choosing to transport the talc by putting it up your nose.

Putting it in a condom and swallowing it would probably be a bad idea as well.

At one time in my life I was the SE Asian representative of a ceramic glaze manufacturing organisation. I used to turn up at customs posts all over that part of the world with a brief case full of small plastic bags filled with ground white powder. It was sad to see the faces of the officers turn from elation to apathy when they discovered that the bags were full of ground glass. I don't think I would be game to do it nowadays though.
