Traveling with Injector

Has anyone tried to travel with a Schick injector razor (as cary-on)? I am wondering if you have the same problems getting one through as a DE. Thanks.

Short answer, no I haven't, even though these are my favorites.

Although these aren't specifically addressed by TSA rules, you can eject the blade from one without the injector key if you know how, and you can certainly eject loose blades from an injector magazine. Want to bet that the TSA wouldn't stop that, if they noticed? So if I traveled with one, I'd have to remove the blade first and mail one of the magazines ahead, just as with a DE. That, or put it in checked luggage and most likely pay extra. Otherwise, you're just gambling on getting away with something. Not worth it.

ditto, although I have travel with one...in checked luggage next to my straight

What they said.

The injector contains a blade that is "not in a cartridge" according to the TSA wording.

You can't take an Injector in carry-on luggage.

Check a bag.

1. If it's business the fee is reimbursable
2. You can bring all kinds of shaving gear and at least have a great shave on the road.
3. You'll have extra space for a change of shoes, clothes that don't look like you slept in them and maybe something to relax in in the evening.
4. All the Business Travellers won't be cursing you behind your back because your taking all the bin space with your oversized carry on because you're too cheap to check a bag or too impatient to wait 15 minutes to collect it.

Personally, I think the Airlines have it backwards.

Checked bags should be free, and people should be charged for carry-ons larger than a laptop.
