Torrey Razor Company?

My cousin just sent me a SR made by the Torrey Razor Company of Worcester, Mass. What's the quality of these blades? The scales are a very flimsy, bone colored bamboo pattern.

I want to try my hand at restoration. The blade is discolored, but can be cleaned up. It looks like it may have seen some sharpening (it's dull), as the blade width is a little slim. Should I just get rid of the scales?

Torrey's are really good quality. Include some pics for a better opinion.

If you want to keep value you should keep it as close to the original as possible. Unless they are cracked or chipped they would probably buff up nice.

Alternatively you can replace the scales. This gives you the opportunity to choose scales that you like better.
