It's too bad one cannot shave multiple times a day ... That would occupy time nicely on days like this ...

95 is nice and cool.
It's 111 where I am according to my outside sensor (in the shade)... Firefox weatherbug shows 103 (either at city hall or the airport).

Just take a menthol laced shower and shave. QCS sells Vostok in both body and shaving soap. Guaranteed to keep you cool.

I wish it was nice n cool..hot n dry is typical weather here..even with a breeze..still feels very" dry"..

Most of the hot weather is over for us. 95 isn't too bad. Try 106 with 98% humidity. I sweat through 2 or 3 shirts a day.

I totally sympathize with you. I was reading the other day that this has been the hottest summer on record, and it sure felt like it.
I have Congestive heart failure and high heat and humidity makes it tough to breathe and causes serious fatigue.

Since you work at home mostly, as I do, there's not much to do other than wait out the brutal spells and do a happy dance when they end. Other than that, I can only suggest wearing very light loose clothing, take a few cool showers a day, stay VERY hydrated, keep shades down to cool the house.

It was pretty brutal here in Chicago this past summer as well, glad it's been cooling off for the past month or so. When it gets that hot out it seems the energy just gets zapped from your body. On the weekends, I try and go out and do stuff like catch a movie, hit the mall (check out the shaving supplies and frags of course). I start bouncing off th walls if I'm couped up too long.

My apartment is in a old vintage building so no central air (but radiator heat) but I have two pretty ballsy AC window units. I'm not as sensitive as some to the high temps. so I usually just kept the ceiling fans going, with the AC units on low. Luckily at work they cranked up the AC so it's like a meat locker in there.

But yeah try to stay hydrated and if you have a medical condition, stay indoors if possible.

I sit still and play video games. Something active, so that your mind forgets how terrible your body feels, but passive enough that you don't make yourself hotter.

Whatever you do, please don't send it east. It's finally under 80 here and I'm thrilled.

I am heading to L.A. but have been dragging my feet in upper lower Michigan where it is wonderful sitting on the lake shore of Lake Michigan.

It is 72 outside right now with a nice 10 mph breeze blowing in off of the lake. SWEET!!!

We've spend two weeks longer here than I had planned as it is still too hot in L.A.

When it is too hot outside for me and I'm stuck indoors with nothing to do I go through my shave den smelling soaps and stuff.

We had the last of our hot weather about 10 days ago, 3 days straight right at 100, then the first cold front hit, with highs in upper 80 lower 90 range. Today finally a soaking all day light rain and high of 69. Fall's a 'coming!

No fall for us yet.
Forecast is running at 93 to 97 for the rest of the week in Burbank, 94 to 99 out here in Chino.
