A common disagreement between roommates and myself. Personally, I'm an over the top kinda guy. Folded into a point is a nice bonus, but not a requirement.

Over the spindle, always - and if it's possible to change one that's "wrong" I do it every time. Behind the spindle leaves you grappling 'blind' for the end of the roll at an inopportune moment.

I did too, although I found it quite funny
He had a better job than the "gong scourers". Back in the day, your king would pitch up at a palace, and stay for 2-3 months. In that time the pit at the bottom of the long drop toilet wouldn't be cleaned out - they were usually "permanently" bricked up. When court cleared off to the next palace, the gong scourers would knock down the wall blocking the entrance to the midden and remove all the 'content' (can't find the vomit smiley so this'll have to do)

Neither - I hate plumbing with a passion - I can do it, but if I can avoid doing it, I will. I just have an elephantine memory for useless pieces of trivia
