What's new

Today's Haul...

I went to a knife show today and got to chat with some wonderful knifemakers and also got to look at a lot of straights (a lot more than I expected, that's for sure!) and picked up these 3 straights... The Dovo will need to hit the buffer to get rid of some rust spots but is in otherwise excellent condition. The other 2 will need full restores but I am more than happy to put some new horn pants on them.

I am quite happy with these guys. The gentleman gave me another straight with a ton of filework done on it but also a lot of wear, it was around 3/8 remaining so probably just a file worked spine to look at...

Here's what the tang reads on your Joseph Rodgers I believe just for reference. You have some nice projects for these cold nights.

Thanks for posting that pic! For the life of me I couldn't read the tang and didn't have a chance to hit it on the buffers to figure it out...

I've never seen a W&B stamped "blank" on tang. Has to be a scarce bird indeed! Nice snags!

Neither had I... I'm new to the straight game (less than a year into it) so by all means it could be a lot more common than I realize, but I was really curious when I saw the tang.

The W&B and Rodgers should both be really fun projects that will most likely end up on the BST once they get their new horn pants on.
