TOBS Rose

Just tried some TOBS Rose SC from a TSD sample pack. Wow. This is by far the best cream I have tried so far. Very slick lather, very good lubrication and the scent is awesome, so much so that SWMBO, who does not like Rose scents liked it a lot. A little goes a long way and I imagine I will get atleast 8-10 shaves out of the TSD sample. I think I have just found the first SC in my rotation.

Seeing as how SWMBO liked the scent, and I did too, are there any other recommendations for other rose SC/SS I should try?

Saint Charles Shave has a Savory Rose soap and Splash. Cyril Salter's Rose is an excellent rose cream that is very economical and top quality.

Aos (its marketed at women but is apparently as good as their others)
DR Harris, just reintroduced its Rose cream, initial reviews seem good

I must admit that Taylor's Rose makes an exceptional lather. However, I felt the smell was a mix between a funeral, mothballs, and Ivory soap. To each his own I guess. I will continue to use it because of the great shave I get, but I think it should be called Taylor's Geriatric Brothel instead of "Rose"...just my two cents. Try the T&H i've been hearing good things about that one, I think i'll be doing the same.

Taylors Rose is an excellent cream indeed.
And my favourite in the TOBS range.

There are several rose options: TOBS, D.R. Harris, T&H and Trumper. All are good creams with some differences in scent. I'm currently using the Harris and the first impressions are good both in terms of the lather and scent. I have used TOBS before and it is also very good.
