TOBS Opinion

Hello,

i was sure if I should put this in the creams or soaps category, for people that have tried both TOBS creams and soaps which do you prefer? Why? Is the lather better? Smell better? Etc..... I am still on the fence on which I like better in terms of soaps or creams. I wanted to purchase my first TOBS, think I will get the jermyn street.

So in which format do I get it in as a soap or cream?

I like my jermyn st soap. I just like soaps in general. Can't really tell you why, I just do.

I prefer soaps personally - but I bought the Jermyn St. cream when I started DE shaving. I wish I had got the soap instead. I will say though - it's an AMAZING scent.

I tried a sample of the TOBS lime cream and it gave a great shave and smelled nice. Left my skin too oily/moisturized as my skin is prone that way. I will not be using them in the future.

I think the answers you get will greatly depend on what forum your in...soaps or creams. you have to prefer one over the other a little so i would go with that. happy shaving!

P.S. maybe posting this in the soap forum is your subconcius telling you somthing.

I currently use TOBS sandalwood soap, and enjoy it very much. Excellent scent, but honestly think D.R. Harris soap is a step above in lathering. When I used creams I particularly enjoyed TOBS rose shaving cream; excellent lather and outstanding scent. Same was true with TOBS sandalwood cream. I have not used Jermyn Street, but might some day. Usually hear good things about its scent.

I've only used Jermyn Street, and find it a middle of the road performer. Of course, if you dig the TOBS scents, they're the only game in town.
