Man, it's been a busy month for PAD already. I have a Polinski rhodesian, savinelli 320 trevi, and an Eliot Nachwalter Sandblasted tan bent billiard made for Orvis on the way. I have a couple more in the works, but I'm not saying lest I jinx them. I'll post pics as they arrive.

Man, it's been a busy month for PAD already. I have a Polinski rhodesian, savinelli 320 trevi, and an Eliot Nachwalter Sandblasted tan bent billiard made for Orvis on the way. I have a couple more in the works, but I'm not saying lest I jinx them. I'll post pics as they arrive.

I was in El Salvador a few weeks back (so reporting this is delayed, but given that the bug I picked up out there hospitalised me for a while, I trust you'll forgive me...) And the people I was visiting make boxes. I was visiting to look at quality standards for the boxes they were making for me, but they gave me a factory tour. They make loads of cigar boxes and humidors, and I just mentioned how beautiful I thought one that they were making for me was.

Well, on my last day there, they handed me one, in custom black (production ones are white), laser engraved with a dedication for me. So, assuming I can count a humidor, I got one (photo later).

Looks like the Savinelli should be there today!

I had hopes of slowing down... but it doesn't seem to be happening.

I've got a Peterson 305 on the way from Hirsute (really appreciate the trade!) as well as a Peterson pouch and a tin of 3 Oaks Syrian on the way from SP!

What do you think of the bowl size? For me it was huge, but I'm used to about a group 3. Definitely feels good in the hand, doesn't it?

I keep saying that I'm going to lay off on the pipe related purchases for a while, but then I end up ordering something else... I sheepishly texted SWMBO a few minutes ago asking if she'd mind if I bought a nice pipe lighter, telling her that it would be about $100. Very much to my surprise I quickly get back, "Yeah, I'd be okay with that. " Needless to say, my jaw dropped. It probably helps that she just got her new iPhone 5S that I ordered for her the other day.

So, I should have a Chromium Old Boy in a week or so!

What do you think of the bowl size? For me it was huge, but I'm used to about a group 3. Definitely feels good in the hand, doesn't it?

It is a big bowl! It took a bit longer to get everything properly lit and tamped, by then it smoked perfectly down to the end. A very cool, satisfying smoke. And I totally agree--it's great in the hand.
