Tobacco -So What's your drug of Choice?

and what do ya got?

I've come to the grave consideration that I am, in fact, a Tobacco Addict (though not a terribly fancy nor particular one).

Right now, on hand, I've got my trusty Camel Filter King cigs. (and I do love the ol' Kamel Reds as well).

I've got a few CAO and some "house blend" cigars on hand, as well as two Ghurka's.

I've got some Half & Half, as well as some Captain Black cherry Pipe Tobacco (complete with Corn-Cob pipe, and super fancy carved (yet ugly) wood (briar?) pipe.

I've got Camel Frost (Menthol) Snus.

I've got Packard's Club Snuff....first time ever trying it, but I do think I like it in small doses).

So alas, I confess, I am addicted to the nicotine and tobacco.

I'd be lying if I were to say I'd never tried "dipping tobacco" (Copenhagen, Skoal, etc) nor "Chew" (ie. Redman), but neither of those did much for me.

Am I an addict? You betcha.

Do I care? Well, somewhat....not enough to quit, but enough to try and moderate how much of X I consume in the duration of Y. Mix it up and all that ya know....

....So what is your poison?

Tobacco as well. Though I've long since given up cigarettes, I still indulge in a couple of pipes per day and an occasional cigar. My wife is convinced I have enough pipe tobacco to last two life times. Me? I'm not so sure. Damn addictions. With all of the stress in the world today, I say relax and enjoy whatever brings you some simple pleasure. Yes, we are all quite aware of the health risks associated with tobacco, but we are all adults. Each with his or her own free will. So..."Smoke em if you got em."

I'll show the server some mercy today. :aureola:

I like pretty much everything except cigarettes. Snus daily, cigars two or three times a month, pipes two or three times a year, nasal snuff during the winter when my sinuses get clogged, chew or dip every now and again when I'm around someone that has an open can. Sometimes I pick up a tobacco stick when I go fishing. Nothing like chewing on a 'baccy stick while fishing on the lake. I also like the Oliver Twist bits every now and again too.

Chalk me up as another tobacco addict here. I think I've used it in every form available at one time or another.

I smoked cigarettes regularly back in high school, it was the thing to do I guess. I didn't have too much problem quitting them thankfully. In a moment of weakness not too long ago, I had a few and while they were enjoyable, I didn't feel the urge to start up again regularly. Chewing tobacco on the other hand was hell to quit. I'd still be doing that if my wife didn't have a problem with it.

These days I smoke cigars when I have time to sit and enjoy one. Maybe 2 or 3 a week. I smoke pipes as well, but for some reason really find those more enoyable in the winter. At one time I worked in a cigar store when I was younger and was smoking 5 cigars a day on average. I don't think I actually made any money at that job but I had a lot of fun

Marlboro for me! Just for the record, I lost both parants to COPD--
I started smoking at age 12 because I couldn't inhale pot with my brother and his friends! One of his friends gave me a pack of ciggs and told me to practice. I learned
My Doctor, (wife) claims I also have COPD although at age 57 I still run over 5 miles every am.
Even smoking there entire lives I was blessed as both Parants lived into there 80s. However, I will state there are better ways to die

I smoked cigarettes through high school, college, and most of my time in the service. Played around a little with a pipe in college and after boot camp, but never really got the hang of it. Peaked out at nearly 2 packs a day towards the end of my enlistment.

Quit cold turkey when I got out, took up RYO a year or 2 later, quit that after a couple years then picked up cigars a couple years after that. Can't stand the smell of cigarettes anymore and don't see myself ever picking that up again, not even RYO.

After my first son was born the cigars just sat and only within the last couple years have I managed one avery couple of months or so.

Started reading up on snuff (nasal) and snus and I now have a couple containers of snuff to play around with and a couple samplers of snus on the way.

I don't consider myself addicted anymore since I can go days without even thinking about it, but I do still like the smell/taste of good tobacco.

Although I no longer smoke, I enjoyed Camel regulars for almost 30 years. As a younger man, I would occasionally roll my own. Robert McConnell had a mild cigarette blend that recall enjoying (I only find pipe tobaccos listed currently) as well as The Three Castles.

Newport smoker here (working on quitting) pipe smoker as well (big fan of dans tobacco blends)
You and me both. Newport's simply aren't designed for you to quit easily. I am transitioning to cigars and loving them. They appear to be more expensive at first, however here in NYC cigarettes are almost $10 a pack on average. I don't smoke cigars every day since I never smoke them at home, so the cost is actually lower in the long run. Filling up my new humidor is a substantial initial investment though. Plus the constant vigilance needed to maintain an optimal environment for the sticks. Instead of a habit, it is officially a hobby now ... just like shaving.

I've dabbled in nearly all types of tobacco, other than dip and chew (I find the spitting aspect absolutely disgusting).

Cigars are what I probably enjoy the most as far as combustibles go. Padron and Montecristos (I really enjoy the new inexpensive Puerto Rican made ones) are my go-to cigars. Occasionally I'll smoke a hookah, but I find that to truly enjoy that requires scene and setting, as well as a good group of friends.

Snus is my daily go-to, both portion and loose. Loose I usually do at home or locations where I know I'll have an easy time ejecting the pinch when I'm done with it, portion nearly all the time.

Thunder Frosted as been my main portion lately, along with General Onyx (I LOVE black portions, can't wait for N&J black), Lucky Strike regular portion, General Extra Sterk portion, and Roda Lacket Claq Qui (the tin is the neatness).

For loose, it's usually General Extra Sterk, Skruf Stark, Gotlandssnus Grey (anise flavored), or Göteborgs Rapé.

I also rather enjoy Elixyr Power Energy. Sort of a bitter limeade flavor to it, and a good morning kick in the pants.

I'll show the server some mercy today. :aureola:

Shall I take up the slack? DDOSnus attacks could become the new big thing. ;)

I smoked for almost 40 yrs and was finally able to quit last November with the help of snus. My go to's are Roda Lacket,Ettan,Skruf regular and Stark, all portions.

I got into snuff about 4-5 months ago and have probably tried close to 100 different varieties since. I love the various SPs,Kendals and Schmalzlers but my top 3 right now are Toque Rose,Blenders Bundle (house blend of the Snuffstore UK),and Sam Gawith Apple. I've cut my snusing in half since, and if I'm around the house all day usually get by on snuff alone. Nothing at all wrong with snus,I just like the variety of flavors that snuff offers. I do need to try the new Discreet snus.
