So. My 1962 Slim has been one of my go-to razors since I got it. After the first few shaves, I began making the first pass WTG with the adjuster set on 4, then the second pass WTG with it set on 5, and got some DFS!
I recently got a D4 Fat Boy. I've been shaving with it since then, and started with the first pass 4, second pass 5 routine. Then, a couple of days ago, I decided that since variety is the spice of life, let's make a change and throttle the critter up a bit. I started making the first pass on 5, second pass on 6, and got a bit of a surprise. I've discovered that I get an irritation free shave, with very little Old Spice burn, plus it's very near to being BBS on the more thickly folliated parts of my face, and true BBS on my upper cheeks. Now that's what I call a DFS!
Now I have to try it with the Slim and see if I get the same results...
