What's new

Three thing you know now you wish you knew years ago about Wet Shaving?

1. One Razor is all you need.

2. Soap is Soap and everyone’s like & dislike are personal thing.

3. No product, be itRazor, Blade, Soap, Brush is. PREFECT FOR 100% of people who shave.

1. A well hydrated lather is key.
2. Don't run the razor over the same patch of skin too many times during each pass.
3. You probably don't need a more aggressive razor.

1. Don’t buy cheap, you’ll buy twice.
2. Don’t be afraid in trying different products, you will find things which you like more at some point.
3. When making a storage box for your straight razors, make it big enough to fit at least twice the amount of straight razors you currently own. Same when you buy a new storage cabinet for soaps and brushes.

And that one razor should be a Tech with a Personna Lab Blue, the best combo for most faces.

Vintage Tech is price point, or cheap Razor. But they work well with Blade that give you good shave.

Lots of GOOD Razors in 50-60 buck range, or less imho.

I agree with the one razor approach. I could have stopped after buying my Mekur 34c, but I would have missed out on all of the fun.

I would bet in some economically depress place like India, a family with two or more males who shave all use same razor.

1. The guys who say start with a Tech? Listen to them.
2. Face lathering is the way to go. Skip the shaving bowl, it's just one more thing to deal with and complicate the routine.
3. Palmolive or C.O. Bigelow cream gives all the performance you need for a reasonable price.
