This is kinda the closest thing: it's close to the office and they do good haircuts and shave the neck with a shavette after mixing a quick lather with an Omega boar. Haven't had a shave yet...

There are a couple of little places on Degraves st(?) that I pass on my way to work that look old school and promising in the CBD.

I wonder how these old style barbers shops in the US compare to the long-running shops in London (Trumpers, TOBS etc.), in terms of quality of the shave and atmosphere.

I would wager that it's partly legal reasons, but also speed: stropping, oiling, and sterilizing vs. removing, tossing, and replacing the blade.

Oh man, this place looks AWESOME! I've noticed more and more mentions here of barber shops like this one springing up all over the place. I hope this signals a new trend in barbershops!
