Third Restore Down: Century Barber Brush

Less than two months ago, I had never used let alone touched a power tool. With the help of this forum, I've learned so much about plastics, metals and wood --- skills that will transfer over to other real life scenarios such as refurbishing old furniture, etc. Here is my third brush restore and this one I'm particularly proud of! Over the past 3 weeks, through trial and error, I've sanded, stained and coated this brush with Polyurethane. All feedback welcome!

Yes TGN Finest XH 24mm/55mm. The higher loft was a great choice IMO. Very dense so the flow through is very good when set this high. Still plenty of backbone that is expected with a TGN Finest!

Good work!

Extra stuffed knots yearn for a higher loft to truly bloom.

To all you restorers - test drive your knots at their native lofts. It's easy to see how efficient they are, even at face lathering, when they're tall and free do their thing.

God, I have a brush with a TGN finest 24mm bulb. I can only imagine how that must do to soaps with that century handle.

Great choice on the knot and stain Bryan! That is one gorgeous brush. I think the darkened handle compliments the rosewood red ferrule perfectly. Perfect character. Excellent work- Enjoy!

Thanks!

24 mm TGN Finest XH at the loft of 55 mm has my soap collection cowering in fear. I received 6 sticks of Arko last night and appropriately milled them into Grundtal containers. They didn't stand a chance.

On a side note: A R K O !!!!!!

Unbelievable product at an unbeatable price. It truly is the golden standard upon all other soaps are compared. The phrase lather perfection comes to mind. My girlfriend and I actually enjoy its scent as well. Barrister and Mann, mikes, tabac and MWF are gonna be sitting enviously in the corner for a while! Why people can't tolerate or hate the scent is beyond me.
