Thinking of Buy Simpson Chubby 2 Manchurian ?

I got the Shavemac d01 super silvers tip 2 band, and I was wondering if I could buy the Chubby 2 Manchurian badger, is it denser and softer on the tip ? or scrubbier on the tip and yes I face lather only (I could never get the hang on the bowl and hand lathering) information would be great

I have the Manchurian Chubby 3 and had a 28mm Shavemac D01 2-band. The Manchurian is much denser than the Shavemac and, in use, it has more scrub and less scratch.

Is the tip softer on the chubby ?

The Shavemac tips feel softer when dry. The Manchurian's feel a bit stiff. In use, I found the Manchurian to be the more enjoyable and less irritating of the two brushes.

bAkewelle - It's difficult to describe the Manchurian based on the characteristics of other brushes because it has its own unique combination of characteristics, but I'll try. It's a bit denser than my Chubby 3 super 3-band, it has a nice scrub, but isn't scratchy, so you can increase the pressure without fear of irritation. It loads hard soap like a champ and has great flow-through (which I didn't expect). And surprisingly, it isn't a terrible soap hog - I can load enough hard soap in 30 - 40 seconds for 3 passes plus a touch-up.

The bottom line is that you'll need to try it to know for sure if it's worth the price to you. If you don't like it, there are plenty of guys out there who would be glad to take it off your hands.

And Sameer: I know you'll love your Manchurian Chubby 3.

I'm after a soft tip or softer brush with a stiff back (softer than shavemac d01 supersilvertip)

Thanks vocalistbob...I'm waiting anxiously for my manchurian to arrive. Incidentally, it's an identical replica of your butterscotch :)
