Thiers-Issard "Made in India" DE ???

I have a Thiers-Issard "Made in India" DE razor. I bought my dad one, but it's TTO, and it's totally different. I like the safety bar on his much better.

Does anyone know anything about these things? I have to guess Thiers-Issard doesn't actually make them.

Someday I'll get a nice open comb, or an adjustable, or something really heavy, or... but I'm broker than broke..

Outsourcing to India is a very popular corporate move these days.

If TI wants some of the niche DE market they have to do it as cheaply as possible, and that means going with an outsourced established manufacturer rather than tooling up and paying EU prices.

Well, that's a guess anyway.

I got them both from Classic Shaving. I'll try and take pictures, but that's kinda hard for me to do right now.
