I've been only wet shaving with a straight for three months now. The brush I have is the one below cost me $46 Canadian.
Just wanted to know how is this compared to other brushes out there? Any of you who have tried it and tried high end brushes, how does it go up against the others?

This brush is an excellent "Pure" badger brush. the tips have NOT been clipped and is pretty dense with great backbone.

best and silvertip brushes have a pretty different feel and are much much softer, rather than the scrubby "Pure" brush.

You certainly can feel confident that you have a very high quality brush.
