I came across a nice coupon for The Shave Den Shop on Facebook for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more before tax and shipping.

It works, I checked. But here's the rub. Looks like the minimum shipping cost is $8. Add another item or two and it jumps to $12. I was trying to buy 210 Voskhod blades from them, which qualified for the coupon. But I'll be darned if I'm paying $12 shipping for a couple boxes of blades.

So, if this out of control shipping works for you, there's a great coupon for the store!

I had a similar experience. Someone on the B/S/T forum threw in a box of Voshkods with a purchase I made. I love those blades -- really great experience with them. But don't know how to get them without paying extortionary postage. I've moved on to other blades.

The only other place I know of where they are readily available is on Ebay, though even with the shipping charge, I believe The Shave Den is cheaper.

If I put 300 Voskhods in my cart and use the code, the final price is $36. $12 for 100 blades, shipped, is an excellent price for such an excellent blade.

Yes, you can find cheaper blades, but for me, an extra few cents per blade to get what i want is not a problem. I never consider just the shipping price, or just the product price when deciding whether to buy or not. I look at the out-the-door price.

ETA: Oh, and thanks for the heads up on the code!!
ETA: On ebay I find them for $21 per 100 blades. I'd pay that if I had to, but $12 is much better.

I'm trying to decide if I might like Rapira as much. Or 7 O'Clock Blacks. Or some others I can get for less OTD. We'll see.
But then again... with this discount, the postage issue disappears. So it's a question of how much I've spent.... these past weeks... because I'm down to only 2 Voshkod blades, and that sounds like a sad state of affairs. Thanks for pointing out the discount code. I'm a non-facebook-user, so I wouldn't ever know if not for your post.

Hey Pat, you are certainly right in that the code works great for volume shopping. At the 300 blade example you gave, thats basically $2 shipping.

It is a pretty good code when you break it down like that
