The razor you never should have got rid of?

Just wondering about razor regret. With time in this hobby I think I am slowly settling on what I like and what I don't like. Unfortunately, I did get rid of some razors along the way that I would love to have back now.

Top of the list is a 1/4 Hollow Le Grelot, 6/8 - I think I was just having a hard time dialing it in due to lack of honing experience, and I convinced myself that I liked full hollow blades more. Now....I miss it tons and never should have sold it.

Any other takers on this sad thread?

Didn't buy it, but similar story. When I first got into razors, I passed on a nice 7/8 Torrey blade with no scales. And, of course, I have not seen a 7/8 wide Torrey since, much less for sale.

I had sold my BB custom and missed it dearly for 6 months. Luckily I still knew the gentleman here on B&B that bought it from and contacted him asking if he would be willing to sell it back to me. Thankfully he was willing and now I have it back. Thanks again James for selling it back to me!!

I haven't really sold off enough razors to have a 'regret sale', but I came close once when I started to list my Psycho and key. My wife caught me taking pics of it to put up and wanted to know what I was doing. When she found out, she let me know in no uncertain terms that 'I would regret selling it'. It's pretty much the only razor in my collection that she likes, so it's hanging around.

A John Barber with a wicked smile... It now lives in Canada. At least I know it's well cared for :).

NOS Filarmonica 13 DT with gold wash and light green scales. Used it a couple of times with its nice factory edge and sold it because I didn't know how to take care of the gold. Such a noob move! Now I have a few Filarmonicas but it's not the same.

I angry! Very angry! :cursing:

I keep seeing this razor, very nice

I traded a vintage JA Henckels with a really nice worked spine for a NiB Semogue 2013 LE brush. I know the guy well that I traded with, I'm still hoping someday to get that razor back, then send it out for new scales (I hated the ones on it).
