Quite a stretch for Ryan O’Neal to go from the lead dramatic role in Love Story (1970) to the lead in this classic screwball comedy with Barbra Streisand.
I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions at Kenneth Mars who was hysterical. (“Please don’t shoot me, I’m part Italian. )
The courtroom scene was brilliant as well as the “subtle like an avalanche” spoof of the chase scene from Bullitt through the streets of San Francisco.
if you like this genre of film, this is a thoroughly enjoyable classic.
