Nope, very enjoyable romp, not nearly as deep as Peele's previous outings.
This past weekend, I somehow managed to find three hours to watch one of my favorites, The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp.

My wife and I finally saw Top Gun Maverick. She really enjoyed it, even said she liked it better than the 1st one. I didn't like it much, very predictable and rather boring. I think I like the 1st on better but to be fair I'm not much of a Tom Cruise fan. We did have a great date night though so overall it was a nice night!
I agree 100%. It was a good summer monster movie for sure.
"Joker". Quite enjoyed this one and I thought Joaquin Phoenix was an excellent joker.

Get Out, saw it last night and enjoyed it. Not really a horror movie fan but bored of whats out right now.

Saw Nope, same director and lead actor. It was just ok. Really enjoyed Get Out. Nope was just lacking I felt.
We're going to watch US by Jordan Peele later tonight, hopefully that one is good too.

I read a review of Prey a day or two ago. I'll give it a go when my wife's gone for a few hours. I saw the first two on cable, years back, but they aren't my wife's kind of movie.
The Lost Continent (1951), which I saw as a kid in the 1950s. Some 20 years ago a daughter bought me the 2001 Image DVD. While the Image DVD looks great, unfortunately even compared to the silent 1925 Lost World and King Kong (1933), the movie itself is pretty lame. It's really only worth watching for the actors I grew up with:
Cesar Romero: he was more my parents generation, but I remember him from 50s Westerns, and as the Joker on Batman.
Sid Melton: 'Ikky' on Captain Midnight, and Alf Monroe on Green Acres. I've read where Melton's death by a triceratops in some later videos was edited, but I'm not so sure even this version of his death is complete from my memory of it.
Hugh Beaumont: Beaver's dad.
Hillary Brooke: Only a bit role in the beginning of this film, but I loved her on the Abbott & Costello TV show and My Little Margie.

Almost done with Prey. I'm enjoying it but my puppy feels threatened by the predator so I only watch when she's asleep. I saw Bullet Train this afternoon. Good popcorn movie.
I just saw that this is coming to Disney+. As I enjoy the Predator movies, I'll certainly add it to my list. Not sure when I'll actually watch it, but it'll be on the list.
