The Gentlemen's Quarter Aftershave

I purchased a 1/2 ounce sample of TGQ Aftershave from Colleen. Today was my first use. After a close 4 pass shave, I applied this miracle balm, and...WOW! Incredible cooling sensation with a strong, spicy aroma. Best of all, my skin feels incredible.

Now I want to know when she is going to make this stuff available in larger quantities. I NEED more of this stuff, STAT!

I think it is just the natural scent that the essential oils impart. It would be hard to scent over the menthol and essential oils. In any case, there are no choices right now.

I felt the aftershave too drying for my skin. After 10-15 minutes I got a bit of "tight face feel". Not as bad as much dry/tightness as an alcohol splash, but something along those lines.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I first splash my face with Thayer's Alcohol-Free Rose Witch Hazel. Once that dries, I apply the TGQ Aftershave Balm.

It worked great for me and I would rather buy a large bottle than a bunch of 1/2 ounce samples.

Balm? My sample was more of a runny liquid consistency like water. And I don't beleive the TWH beforehand wouldn't have helped with the sample I got.

I sent her an email with my praise for the sample, but I have not had a reply (not that one is needed).

I enjoyed it a lot. Don't know if she has revised it at all since the first poster reviewed it.

It was a splash consistency.

This is the most mentholated/cooling aftershave I have tried - and soothed the skin pretty well. I have tried the Aquavelva Ice Sport, and that is a pretty minimal cooling - almost nothing compared to this stuff.

I will say that this aftershave is very unique and has much potential. I was under the impression it was a moisturizing type aftershave when I tested. My skin is on the dryer side so I should have followed with a balm or milk after application. Like Scuba, I would also love a Desert Ironwood scent.

Has any one else used this that can compare is to Osage or another high menthol A/S? This might be a little too much menthol/mint cooling for me, but the Aquavelva Ice Sport is a bit too mild.

What about Benjamin's Mentholated bay rum?

I tested her aftershave and loved it; I just wish she stops the test and offer it for sale in larger than a 1.5 ounce container.
