The foggy foggy mirror

How do you keep your bathroom mirror from fogging up when you take a shower? I know I could leave the door open, but you know that just does not work most of the time. :)

A thin coat of liquid soap or (unlathered) shampoo with a bit of water works well too. Don't rinse it off tho, unless you can't see clearly.

This is a great question that I too am curious to know the answer to, as this is the #1 reason why I shave before a shower.

use the remaining foam of shaving cream from a can-just wipe onto the mirror and then wipe away. works great and lasts for 2-3 months.

We have a portable dehumidifier that we turn on when we start our showers. Not only keeps the mirror from getting fogged up, but it also keeps the room toasty warm.

+1 I use this one, though I rub the gel in until the mirror is clear again. The clear mirror only lasts about a week for me so YMMV.

+1 for soap on the mirror. I usually just put a dab of liquid hand soap in my hand, get a little water on it, mix it with the one hand, and rub it on the mirror... with the liquid hand soap, there's a little ripple effect (not exactly streaking), but I just keep wiping until it goes away. Try making several passes in the same direction (taking your hand off the mirror) to smooth it out.

I normally pick up one of the cats and rub its butt against.....wait a minute. That's how i apply Lilac Vegetal. Sorry. Never mind. :blushing:

In the summer I usually don't need it, but in the winter I use a car product that prevents windows from fogging up. Works great.

Since I wash my hair every time I shower, if the mirror is fogged up I just point my hand held hair dryer at it. Clears the mirror up in about a min. and doesn't leave any streaks. Works great. :001_tongu  :w00t:
